Well, apparently the quote wasn't too bad, so at 9:30 this morning Fence Men arrived, and by 12:30 we had this! Nice! Slightly taller than before so a little more privacy, and mum and dad even managed to get the trellis and climber back up!
Well, according to what mum and dad have told us, we've not had anything like as bad weather as other parts of the country, but today, just after dad had popped out, an almighty gust did this to our fence! :( Mum had to phone him to get him to come straight back home, but there was nothing that could be done - three smashed fence panels, one smashed bench, one ornamental cat's bottom removed and an ear off the ceramic Lincoln Imp. Of these, only the Imp's ear can be saved! Dad made a temporary barrier of the remaining bench and three wheelie bins, to allow us to go outside to attend to toilet duties, but had to phone a friendly fence repairer to come round this afternoon to give a quote - watch this space! Well, Buster is here again today, and we started our walk a little late, waiting for the rain to stop. The weather forecast gave us short window, but it didn't ease when it was supposed to, so we went anyway. The rain turned to sleet (painful for mum and dad, but didn't bother us!) which then turned to snow! :) We were all drenched but had a great time!
Last day of Barney's most recent stay with us - he's been with us since last Thursday, so four whole days! We had a great walk today, lovely and sunny for a change, and no wind either, so we didn't get cold, or wet, or even particularly muddy :)
